We replant what we remove

Sometimes a tree has to come down — storm damage, disease, or a hazard leaning over the house. When it does, the neighbourhood shouldn't lose its shade for good. We've teamed up with a local Tampa grower to plant a young native tree for every hazard tree we remove.

You choose a replacement from Florida-native shade species raised right here in the Bay area — live oak, red maple, bald cypress and more. We plant it, and you get a tree that's built for our climate and here for the next generation.

Why it pays you back: a well-placed shade tree blocks the sun off your walls and roof and releases water vapour that cools the air around it. On a hot Tampa afternoon, that's real money off your power bill — the U.S. Department of Energy puts the summer cooling saving from shade trees at up to 35%.
