Every tree Payne's Trees removes is recovered rather than dumped. That is the whole basis of this side of the business: the wood already exists, it came out of yards in this county, and it is worth more as a product than as landfill.

On-site chipping

During removal and trimming work we chip on site. You can keep the chips — spread as mulch across beds, they suppress weeds, hold moisture through the dry months and moderate soil temperature — or we take them away. Either way there is no extra haulage cost buried in the quote.

Hardwood mulch

Made from recovered Tampa hardwood, sold in big bags by volume with delivery priced by distance from our Riverview depot. Locally recovered hardwood mulch breaks down into the same soil these trees came out of.

Firewood

Unseasoned hardwood, sold by the bag. Buy it ahead and let it season — hardwood cut this season burns properly next one.

Mushroom grow logs

Inoculation-ready hardwood logs, cut to length and sold in 1 MT big bags. Fresh-cut hardwood of the right species is the substrate shiitake and oyster growers want, and it is a by-product of work we were doing anyway.

Live-edge slabs

Larger recovered hardwood is milled into kiln-dried live-edge slabs for tables and counters, sold locally and available for wholesale and export enquiry.
